Come see us
We are so excited to welcome you out to our winery for wine tasting. Our Yakima Valley Winery is open April through November and by appointment in the Winter. We're family owned and operated. We live on the property and we work on the property. We are proud of what we have built and can't wait to share it with you. We're located in the Yakima Valley where we enjoy blue skies, golden hills, 300 days of sunshine, and award winning wine in the heart of Washington wine country.

The Fortuity Guided Tasting Experience
Sample a curated selection of our handcrafted wines, including our signature varietals and limited-production releases. We are family-owned and operated, and as such owners & winemakers Lee and Emily Fergestrom will (likely) lead your through the tasting experience. We will guide you through each tasting, helping you learn about Washington’s world class wine growing region, the premier vineyards we source from, and the style and intention behind our wines. Given we are a boutique, family-owned winery, we do have limited seating (reservations are encouraged, see below). Limiting seattling allows us to provide a higher level of service and share the full story of our wine. Please allow a minimum of 75 minutes for a guided tasting. Therefore, the last seating for tastings will be 45 minutes before close. We can't wait to see you! - Lee & Emily Fergestrom, Fortuity Owners & Winemakers

Enjoy the patio and lawn
For those wishing to go at your own pace, we invite you to have a seat on our covered patio, crush pad or lawn. We'll have a selection of wines by the glass or wine flights. You'll experience the Yakima Valley at its fullest, surrounded by orchards, the Rattlesnake Hills and mountain views. Though we strive to keep the space warm with heaters and cool with umbrellas, please be mindful of the weather.

Kids & Dogs
Yes, kids and dogs are welcome to visit. We do ask parents to keep close supervision on their children and pets as we are a working winery. Given the structured nature of the indoor reserved tasting, production setting and seated arrangements, you may find it more conducive to sit outside on our covered winery patio or lawn.

Table Snacks & Outside Food
We have a varierty of wine-friendly table snacks and other beverages for purchase. Outside food is welcome on our covered patio, crush pad and lawn seating areas. We encourage you to pick up a pizza from Hoptown Pizzeria or street tacos from La Placita. Outside alcoholic beverages are prohibited.

Private Tastings
We welcome any size group for private tastings, outside of our normal business hours and as schedules allow. Please email Emily for more information. Prepayment is required and may be applied toward purchases. We are happy to refund prepayment if cancellation is made at least 24 hours before your appointment. Please arrange your tastings with Emily.

Private Events
We would love to have your celebration at our location. Please see our rental page for more info. There is a minimum wine purchase with every private venue rental. Club members recieve 25% off the rental fee and 20% off wine purchases. Please contact us for nonprofit pricing.

Where to eat, sip and stay in Yakima
Explore Yakima. Want to stay in a luxury teepee, yep we’ve got that. Want to stay in a Airstream trailer that overlooks the Yakima Valley with your own private hot tub, yep, we’ve got that. Want to stay in the “Hill House” a 5 bedroom Airbnb in the middle of a premier Yakima Valley vineyard, yep, we’ve got that too. Authentic Mexican fare, farm-to-table eateries, and James Beard nominated and award winning restaurants are all near by as well. Our winery is located in the heart of the Yakima Valley, surrounded by over 70 working vineyards and wineries. There’s a lot to explore. Ask us about our favorites.

Reservations
Plan your day! Reservations are not required, but are highly encouraged! A reservation guarantees we will have a table waiting for you and your party. Please allow at least 75 minutes for the guided wine tasting. Your prompt arrival is appreciated and guests running more than 15 minutes behind may be asked to reschedule or join us on the winery patio or lawn for a glass of wine! Our last tasting of the day starts at 4:15pm.

Common Questions - Please read to ensure a fantastic visit

Large Parties (8 or more): Please note that large parties must have a reservation if they would like to do a guided tasting. We do not allow organized events (like birthday parties, bridal showers, surprise engagements) without a reservation and paid advanced event fee. More info on renting Fortuity here. We may require a pre-paid deposit to secure your reservation; this deposit will be applied to the tasting room check. We are happy to refund prepayment if cancellations are at least 48 hours before your appointment.

NO BUSES without a reservation.

Where's the winery: We are located at 160 Lombard Loop Road, Wapato WA. When you turn into the winery property (past the Fortuity Cellars sign), go straight back to the tall, grey building at the back of the property.

Arrival: When you arrive, please check-in inside the winery. Reserved tastings are conducted inside with owners, Emily & Lee. If you'd prefer to sit outside, we can discuss this upon your arrival.

Babies and kids: We ask that children remain seated with you and under your direct supervision the entire time of your reservation. Given the structured nature of the indoor reserved tasting, production setting and seated arrangements, you may find it more conducive to sit outside on our covered winery patio or lawn.

Pets: Due to our resident pets, we welcome only well-behaved, leashed dogs (good with kids, other dogs, etc.) on the lawn or patio. Dogs are not permitted inside the winery. Please clean up after your pet.

Tasting fee: Tastings are $15 per person, and may be applied toward your wine purchase of two bottles or more per person. Guided tastings are included in club membership; number of tastings included based on club level.  More info on the club here.

Wine Club Discounts: Club members receive 20% off wine bottles and glass pours, as well as many other great benefits. Please visit our club page for more info and to join.

Payment: Our preferred method of payment at this time is credit card.

Food & other beverages: We have a small, carefully curated wine-friendly snack menu. We do not have any hot food or a kitchen. We also offer sparkling water and local, Washington beer.

Outside food: Outside food is welcome on our covered winery patio or lawn. We encourage you to pick up a pizza from Hoptown Pizzeria or street tacos from La Placita. Outside alcoholic beverages are prohibited.

Protecting your wine: If you are planning to visit multiple wineries, we highly encourage you to bring a cooler or other insulated box to protect your wines. Wine does not like extreme temperatures (hot or cold). No one wants a bottle to blow its cork (and contents). That would make you sad!

We are looking forward to your visit! Please don’t hesitate to contact us if you have additional questions.
