Fortuity Gives - Our Philanthropic Program

Giving back to our community is a Fortuity Cellars core value. In fact, it’s part of the reason we wanted to start our own business – to support those who help make our communities better.
We are passionate about organization’s with missions who support farmers and growers, champion small business and promote the arts - particularly those located in the Yakima Valley, Central Washington and across the state of Washington.
Our Fortuity Gives Program has several facets:
- Back to Yak. Each month the winery is open, we give our guests the opportunity to "Take the Winery Home" while "Giving Back to Yak". By purchasing 5+ bottles, they receive 5% off and we donate $10 to a local nonprofit. People may also participate online by using the code BACKTOYAK at checkout; just select 5+ bottles to purchase and you'll receive 5% off your purchase and we'll donate $10 to that month's nonprofit recipient.
- Back to the Burg. The Fortuity Ellensburg Tasting Room is co-located with Nuwave Gallery, owned by artist Erin Oostra. Several times a year she creates a custom piece of art that is transformed to bottles of our wine. Five dollars from each bottle sold will be given to a local, Kittitas County nonprofit. Erin will also give a portion of the sale of her art to these nonprofits. Purchase Nuwave art wine here.
Non-Profit Requests
We are happy to support Washington-based nonprofits, or those nonprofits supported by our wine club members. This comes in the support of personal contributions by owners Emily & Lee Fergestrom, discounted wine (in conjunction with a special occasion license), discounted venue rentals at both our Winery and Ellensburg tasting room, auction donations (tasting experiences), Back to Yak monthly recipient (winery only), and quarterly Wine+Art give back recipient (Ellensburg only). At this time, our business does not sponsor events.
Priority is given to requests submitted by our Chance Moments Wine Club members.
